Our production team has just completed a new pilot station, which will soon join the Esmil Process Systems fleet—a mobile dewatering unit based on the MDQ series multi-disc screw press technology. This flexible solution allows for precise dewatering system testing under real-world conditions. The installation is mounted on a trailer, ensuring easy transport.
What’s inside?
The trailer is equipped with multi-disc screw press MDQ-201, with flocculator, delivering a fully functional on-site testing solution.
Multi Disc-Screw Press MDQ series is our flagship dewatering solution, specifically designed to meet both municipal and industrial requirements. These multi-disc screw presses have gained widespread popularity due to their efficient dewatering process, as well as their low operational and maintenance costs.
Productivity range of MDQ:
- For municipal WWTP sludge: 3…3780 kg ds/h and 0,05…216 m3/h
- For industrial WWTP sludge: 3…5040 kg ds/h and 0,05… 100 m3/h
Main advantages of Esmil multi-disc screw press MDQ series:
- High equipment reliability – Built to ensure continuous, trouble-free operation, the MDQ minimizes downtime, reducing disruptions and repair costs.
- Low capital costs – The MDQ doesn’t require large spaces or costly climate control systems. It’s versatile enough to be installed in containerized wastewater treatment plants or mobile units, reducing infrastructure expenses.
- User-friendly operation – Esmil presses are built for simplicity in both maintenance and operation. With just a one-day training session, operators can quickly become proficient in managing the machine, adjusting its settings, and performing necessary maintenance.
- Low operating costs – Thanks to the innovative screw design and advanced operational functions, the MDQ offers high energy efficiency, minimizes reagent and rinsing water consumption, and ensures optimal performance at a lower operational cost.
- Flexibility – The MDQ series multi-disc screw presses offer exceptional flexibility, including the ability to adjust the number of dewatering drums and their diameters. This adaptability ensures that our presses can efficiently meet the needs of both small-scale facilities and large wastewater treatment plants, delivering tailored and high-performance sludge dewatering solutions.
MDQ-500 – the largest multi-disc screw press on the market
In response to our customers’ needs, we have developed a new dewatering drum with a diameter of 500 mm. This innovation has more than doubled the capacity of our equipment, making it fully capable of meeting the demands of even large-scale water treatment plants while providing a versatile and high-performance sludge dewatering solution.
Why are pilot tests so important?
By optimizing equipment performance through initial research, we can unlock its full potential, resulting in improved efficiency in wastewater treatment processes.
Pilot tests, conducted under real-world conditions, are essential for selecting the most effective technology. They provide the opportunity to accurately assess and fine-tune the equipment’s performance using actual sludge, ensuring optimal results.
