At Esmil Process Systems we’re focused to be providing advanced solutions in digestate treatment and dewatering. In a recent project, pioneering solutions are being developed for transforming nutrient-rich digestate into a high-value resource for sustainable agriculture specifically fertigation of fruits.

Our studies begin with a chemical analysis conducted for parameter testing of the client’s current digestate along with a series of multi-phase jar tests designed to overcome the unique challenges posed by high-viscosity, solid and organic matter content in the digestate. By testing different combinations of chemical and physico-chemical treatment stages, we’re pinpointing the precise conditioning process needed for optimal solid-liquid separation. This allows us to enhance nutrient retention, maximise filtrate quality according to specific requirements, and ensure effective separation needed for downstream dewatering equipment such as Multi-Disc Screw Press (Esmil MDQ) or Roller Press (Esmil JD).
